TRAINING INFORMATION

Due to strict regulations from the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), we will no longer be able to burn abandoned homes. In the past, we could provide this service to our citizens while at the same time achieving some wonderful training opportunities for our Firemen. We were notified of various regulations and felt we would take an active roll in pollution control. We are sorry for this inconvenience. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to contact Chief Piercey at the Fire Station. (901) 476-8183. Shown here is a copy of a portion of the EPA's open burn policy concerning discarded houses.

We are always looking for men and women who have the time to volunteer for their community. If you are only available during just the morning hours or only evening hours, we will accommodate your schedule. Maybe you don't want to be a firefighter but you do want to run EMS, we have a spot for you. Possibly you don't want to do either, but you have other skills that could be useful, come by and see us. We will make it worth your effort. We hold regularly scheduled training on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00PM. We would be glad to have you. Even if you want to just stop by with your children, or just bring yourself and join us big kids, we would be happy to show off the fire trucks and equipment. You may contact Fire Chief Jon Piercey by Email or you can call the station at 476-8183 and leave a message; your call will be returned promptly.
